About Alex

Alex Pratt is a ceramic artist based in Dearborn, Michigan. Alex creates porcelain forms with sleek modern profiles, which allow his bold graphic decoration to take center stage. His influences include mid-century textile design, Scandinavian pottery of the 1950’s and 1960’s and German Expressionist woodcuts. Alex earned his BFA from the University of Michigan and teaches at a number of art centers in southeast Michigan.
